History
sharptech began with sharptickets in 2012 – a ticketing system for local volunteer organizers of digital culture events. The company was formally incorporated in 2016 as sharptickets Billettsystem DA. A new version of sharptickets was launched in 2025.
In 2021, the company expanded into game servers through the Valhost.no service. The company invested in its own hardware placed in a data center in Norway. Hundreds of game servers were sold through Valhost, including Valheim servers.
From around 2022, virtual servers (VPS) were offered on a small scale. In 2026, the service has been further developed and is available to everyone. sharptech today is a Norwegian infrastructure provider operating its own servers and its own network.
