Compute

sharptech operates its own physical servers in a data center in Norway. The virtualization platform runs Linux-based virtual machines.

All virtual servers are provided with:

• NVMe storage for low latency and high throughput
• Shared vCPUs and allocated memory per instance
• Full root access and choice of Linux distribution

Storage

All customer instances use NVMe-based storage. NVMe provides significantly lower I/O latency compared to traditional SSD and spinning disk.

Network

sharptech DA is a RIPE NCC member. We operate our own autonomous system (AS) with BGP routing and use our own IP resources.

All IP addresses assigned to customers belong to sharptech’s own address space. We also offer LIR sponsoring (Local Internet Registry). Contact us for details.

Location

The infrastructure is operated in Norway. This provides low network latency for Norwegian users and services, and ensures data is processed within Norwegian jurisdiction.

Operations and monitoring

The infrastructure is monitored continuously. The sharptech team handles incidents and planned maintenance.

System status is publicly available at status.shrp.no.

Security

Physical access to the server infrastructure is restricted to authorized personnel. Network traffic between customers is isolated at the network level.
